Artists Steve Bates and jake moore are using weather data from a Davis weather station to generate music in real time based on current weather conditions.

We hear from some of our customers who’ve had their stations for a while that the solar panel that powers the station tends to fog up. This shouldn't affect the panel's ability to work, but if you're bothered by the fogging aesthetically, here's what you can do: 

By placing a weather station in (or near) your garden, you take all the guesswork out of monitoring conditions for your plants, vegetables, and flowers. That device will show you the exact temperature, humidity, dew point, barometric pressure, and wind speed that your garden is experiencing.

One of the most common questions for us here in the Davis technical support department is, “Is my Anemometer working correctly?" Here are a couple of simple tests you can do to make sure your anemometer is in working order. No special tools are required.
